Why is IFC Certification third-party accreditation important?
IFC Certification third-party accreditation provides independent approval that Protive Fire Protection & Sealing Solutions installs passive fire protections solutions correctly, and conforming to the appropriate standards, achieving the required level of fire protection performance. The IFC Certification quality mark enables Protive Fire Protection & Sealing Solutions to demonstrate the superiority of our installations, differentiating them from those who are not subject to such stringent third-party certification scheme requirements. IFC Certification is accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service).
How does IFC Certification work?
Our IFC Certification is of Protive Fire Protection & Sealing Solutions as a company, and not our individual installers. In order to achieve the certification, we demonstrated that we are proficient in our field, with good product knowledge, an understanding of regulations, and an understanding of the importance of the correct installation of life saving systems. Our office-based activities were audited, and our onsite installations were inspected. Upon receiving IFC Certification, we now log all of our contracts with IFC Certification, and the sites which we work on are selected at random to be inspected by IFC Certification inspectors routinely throughout each year. Additional inspections, e.g. to meet contract requirements, can be requested by our clients if necessary – please enquire about this if required . On completion of a client contract, Protive Fire Protection & Sealing Solutions issue a Certificate of Conformity for the contract, showing details of the fire protection installed.
